Feb 1/ My Bloody Valentine

Right now I’m sort of watching Running With Scissors. There’s nothing like this movie to make me feel as if my life was a little more normal.

Mind you, my entire life I’ve spent trying to make sure my life wasn’t normal. Looks like I did one hell of a job.

One thing I’ve realized is that life is a little like Paris Hilton or Britney Spears. Once you step out a limo legs wide open wearing a dress with no panties, life just is never the same again. The moral of that little ditty is that once you go to certain places in life, it’s hard to go back life before you’ve displayed your yaa hoo as an international spread.

Finally today I got out of my place and left this Wordpress world for awhile. As I said in my video I was going to head out to see My Bloody Valentine in 3D.

It’s the simple things in life that make it grand. Well that and mass slaughter on Valentine’s Day, one of my most hated Hallmark day of the year.

If you are in a relationship you are forced to do something that feels very contrived in order to live up to the greeting card day. And if that is not the case, then the insipid loneliness almost drowns out blaring green shining brightly from the other side of the fence.

Hmmm, you know I really should have waited to see that movie on Valentines. It would be a complementary custom on my annual horror movie flic on Christmas day. It’s my way of balancing out all of the perceived holiness of the day.

Hmmmm, part 2. I must really look into why I hate the holidays so much.

For some reason we don’t have “Love you dogs day.” “Have you given Hildy a hug today?”

These days that’s probably the only holiday I’d like. I must confess I like the Jewish ones. Everyone is too busy cleaning their kitchens of any the remnants of bread. There’s lots of pretty candles, and I love getting to name a plague. What could be more fun that that?

In fact I think I’ll buy myself a card, get a bit of chocolate and finish the night off with a bit of porn.

I’m so happy you are my first, to comment on the new site that is. Thank you. I begin to wonder if the new format causes people not to know what to do!

Even as someone who is in a long term relationship, I don’t relate to Valentine’s Day very well either. So we need ONE DAY in the year to express love or something?

AS for the blog, this format is going to take some getting used to. I think what Wodrpress gives you is OK functionality, and very professional-looking pages that contains a blog, rather than the focus being on the blog itself. From a design standpoint, it’s nice – but the latest entty can get a bit lost here. Depends on what you want, I think. Every blog site has its pros ands cons.

    But are you liking it?

I’m loving the new site. I always have the option of making the format more true to a blog format, I’ve yet to try that. It involves changing code and renaming .php files. I will try it at some point.

The point of this was to expand it into multimedia. I had the perfect theme that was exactly what I wanted, and then there was not place where the login showed up. I was so pissed, it was really nice, and displayed the most recent post. This was the best I could find and I searched for hours WP themes. I paid for this one, I didn’t care just give me something. Nothing really made me completely happy once I had my heart set on that other one.

So I’m working with this, it will take some training for people to see where the most recent post is. But what the theme of this is a “HIV Blog Reality Show” and now I can showcase graphics, video, and posts that all pull from that theme.

I’ve decided to host featured guests as well since I have the real estate on here to do it.

I will, like I said try out the blog format as well. Who knows that maybe better. Trial and error, so all feedback is great.

I do love the this, but maybe it’s because I agonized setting it up, testing my limits of Wordpress, CSS, and code knowledge trying to figure it all out.

Ya, Valentines. I guess it’s the part of me that doesn’t like to be forced to do something. Maybe that’s why I don’t like holidays. But on the flip side, given my personality, I’d never see family otherwise.

I does take a lot of work to be a d-list AIDS celebrity! Gotta keep up with the latest trends.

Actually this all started with my introduction on video and the other format wasn’t cutting it. It’s hard to find the perfect template, but I think I’ve done well to customizing it.

Thank you! It is nice to hear back from others.
